He currently acts as advisor and investment banker to both public and private healthcare and life sciences companies in the areas of financial offerings, pipeline enhancement/divestment, business development and corporate restructuring.

Dr. Ajit Patwardhan brings over sixteen years of experience as a clinician, researcher and a business executive. As an integral part of the team, Dr. Patwardhan supports all aspects of HealthPro's services, and is responsible for new client relations and outreach. He is leading the team of HealthPro BioVentures LLC in its growth in the medical devices/orthopedic device sector.

James Kuo has over 20 years of experience in the life science industry as a venture capitalist, business development executive and CEO of life science companies. Previously, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Adeona Pharmaceuticals, a publicly-traded biotech company developing CNS therapies. Dr. Kuo is also a founder and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BioMicro Systems, a profitable genomic tools company that was acquired by a major pharma company.

As part of the HealthPro team, Mr. Sommer is responsible for identifying new opportunities in the life science sectors, sourcing new clients, developing and maintaining client relationships, and helping to raise capital.

Jorge Leon is an internationally recognized expert and pioneer in the field of development and commercialization of clinical molecular diagnostics. Dr. Leon has a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from NYU and completed his post doctoral studies at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg, Germany and Columbia University in NYC.

Dr. Ira M. Herman is a tenured professor and director of the Center for Innovations in Wound Healing Research at the Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Herman holds appointments in the departments of physiology, anatomy & cellular biology, ophthalmology and biomedical engineering. Professor Herman is a founding member and director emeritus of the Integrated Studies Program at the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University School of Medicine and is a recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Award.

Presently Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Marillion Pharmaceuticals Inc, Dr. Subhan has 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries spanning roles in research, clinical development, sales, marketing and business development, including managerial positions with Sanofi-Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, the Dupont-Merck Pharmaceutical Company (now part of Bristol-Myers Squibb), Gemini Genomics (now Sequenom, Inc) and Locus Pharmaceuticals.
